Rizwan is a doctoral researcher at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, specializing in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. His research delves into post-disaster recovery, with a particular focus on disaster governance, capacity building, and community resilience. He has conducted on-site case studies in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand, offering valuable insights into the challenges faced during recovery efforts. Rizwan has actively published and presented his findings across various academic and professional platforms.In addition to his research, Rizwan is a dedicated academic, teaching construction and project management courses at Te Pūkenga, New Zealand, since 2019. He holds an MSc in Construction and Project Management, with extensive experience in design and construction projects.
