Umar brings to PRISA a vast knowledge of the public sector of Pakistan, having worked there for over two decades in various senior positions in the Audit Department. His long public sector experience in a South Asian country equips him with crucial insights into the dynamics, rules and regulations, constraints and challenges being faced in the line of public sector service delivery in South Asian countries.
A Purdue alumnus, he did his MS in Human Resource Management from the Krannert School of Management in 2010. Before joining the Civil Service in Pakistan, he studied medicine and worked for some time in the government health sector, providing him with a first-hand knowledge of the issues confronting that sector.Since moving to the UK, he has also been working as a Public Policy Consultant for BIC Global.
