Current wave of tariffs imposed by the US is likely to impact various sectors of South Asian economies, especially Pakistan. This will have some serious consequences for the firms operating in those sectors. In this webinar, Dr Waqar Wadho will be sharing his thoughts on these issues.

About the Speaker: Dr Waqar Wadho is an Associate Professor of Economics and the Director Graduate Studies at Lahore School of Economics and a Senior Research Fellow at Center for Research in Economics and Business, CREB. Further to this, he is also a Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Research in Pakistan, Fellow at the Global Labor Organization and Member of the HEC sub-committee on Economics of the Committee for the Development of Social Sciences and Humanities in Pakistan (CDSSHP). He holds a PhD in Economics from Aix-Marseille School of Economics (France), and an MSc. in Economics from Quaid I Azam University (Pakistan).

His research interests lie in the broadly defined fields of growth and development. He uses theoretical models and empirical methods to study issues related to firms, households, and economies.
