Jamshaid Rizwani is an accomplished journalist and media expert with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He holds a postgraduate degree from Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan, obtained in 1993. Soon after, Jamshaid began his career as a reporter for Daily Jang, one of Pakistan’s leading newspapers. His career trajectory saw him rise to the position of Bureau Chief at Geo TV Network, where he played a critical role in shaping the network’s editorial strategy and news coverage.

Jamshaid’s passion for journalism was evident even before his university days, with early contributions to Weekly Akhbar-e-Jahan. His long-standing commitment to the Jang/Geo Group came to a close in December 2014, after which he took on the role of Director South Punjab at Bol TV. Following his tenure at Bol, he briefly served as Controller News at 24 News and Rohi TV.

Currently, Jamshaid Rizwani is the Editor of South Today, a prominent digital media outlet. In addition to his editorial roles, he actively contributes to think tanks focused on media, politics, and social issues in Pakistan. His insights into regional and national politics, human rights, conflict reporting, and environmental and climate change issues have been influential in shaping public discourse.
