Muhamamd Shafique is Professor of History and Historiography at the department of History and civilization Studies , Bahauddin Zakariya university, Multan, Pakistan. He has served as Chair at Department of Philosophy, Department of Gender studies and Department of History and Civilization Studies and is Focal Person for of Center of Dialogue and Discourse at BZU. He has also served as member Board of Governors of Iqbal Academy and Pakistan Study Centers of Lahore and Karachi and a number of Non-Governmental Organizations. He has been attached to SOAS and UCL, London, UK for Doctoral and Postdoctoral Research and Visiting faculty at University of Nanging, China. Muhamamd Shafique has a vast area of varied expertise in Philosophy of History, Historical methodology, Process of Social Change, history of Political development in South Asia, 18th and 19th century British historiography of South Asia, exploiting sources from Regional history and Historiography of Pakistan. His work of comparative Civilization Studies opened new methodological avenues for the understanding of global civilization. Prof. Shafique has more than sixty Five research contributions including books, books chapters and research papers on his credit.
